Year 1, Day 159

Today was one of those days when the stars align, and everything falls into place quite wonderfully. Life doesn't throw you many of those days, so it's nice to stop and take note for the blessing when it does.

We spent the morning at a birthday party! Jackson's friend, Cole, turned two. It's hard to believe that life has passed us by so fast. He was so sweet, and welcomed Jackson and all his friends to share the day with him. By noon, Jackson was exhausted in a good way. A train set and a car ramp had kept him fascinated all morning, along with chasing friends and pushing along a shopping cart. I had precious moments to reconnect with Cole's family and also, to see my husband. It was a wonderful morning.

After a short stop at Harrows for a famous chicken pie, we made our way home and NAPPED. The three of us feel asleep at 1:00. Two hours later, we woke!! With the chicken pie bubbly by 4:30, we sat down to a wonderful feast. Jackson took a daddy bath, I grocery shopped, and now we are all relaxing. It was a wonderful day. Full of friends, fun, rest, and rejuvenation before the week ahead hits.
