Year 1, Day 151

I’m in the midst of a tiny panic attack, because the internet is not working tonight. I am writing Day 151 in Word, and will copy and paste tomorrow.

Jackson was entertained all day by his Great Grammie, his Grammie and his Aunt Lois. Unfortunately his beginning part of the day was plagued by intense tooth pain, as the rest of his little molars broke through. He was a crabby, crabby baby absolutely unrecognizable. If you glanced at him, talked to him, or talked ABOUT him, he would cry.

Things turned around after his lunch and short nap, when he began showing off…and showing how klutzy he is as well. Watching him today, it occurred to me that he really does take after me in many ways. He literally walks into doors, trips over toys, and at times, walks without looking where he’s going. His head lifted to the ceiling, in awe of the light, he falls flat on his face as he tries to walk. I suppose he did inherit that clumsiness from me. Okay, all of it. I take the blame. He recovers so nicely though. It might look like a train wreck when he does it, and everyone gasps or shudders in empathetic pain. But, his ability to jump right back in and be graceful in the aftermath is just top notch.

Tonight, Grammie is watching Jackson a bit before bed, and I am having a date night . . . at the movies with my husband. Though we won’t be able to talk, we can get lost in other people’s lives for a bit.

And my Internet was still down last night. Now I'll need to call Charter, which is always such a dream come true. I'd rather have my teeth drilled.
