Year 1, Day 256

With Mike working overtime this past week, he didn't see much of Jackson. He was floored by a week's progression in development after spending today with him.  He said "he just looks older - like a little man." And he did. today, he started stringing along sentences.  It all began with "I kissed Ella" last week, but today he said "Dada wash car" while we were sitting inside watching him, and he spoke other simple sentences throughout the day.  He tries to imitate most words we say.  When we don't understand when he's saying, he gets extremely frustrated, because it's obvious that it was well thought out and he knows exactly what is on his mind.

I am excited to reach that stage when I have to stop guessing all the time. Why is he crying? Is he sick? We are actually at a point now where I can say "where's the boo boo" and he'll point to it and let me kiss it...and then run over to the freezer for the "boo boo bunny". It's very sweet.

He bumped his leg at Grammie's yesterday and when I told him to "rub it up" he rubbed his leg and said "all better" . He so makes me laugh.
