Year 1, Day 276

We couldn't have had a better end to the week.  With the joy of it merely being Friday, we had an extra bonus.  Today included a special treat for us.  We didn't have to endure the long commute home and arrive completely aggravated and exhausted from a Friday rush hour.  Instead, Jackson and I met a friend at a park, on the way home.  Kim ordered the pizza, and I brought the blanket, fruit, and juice.  All together, we sat under the shade and spent time in the wonderful summer afternoon.

Following our picnic, Jackson cautiously made his way to the playground area, and after warming up to his surroundings, he owned them. He sifted sand, filled dump trucks, and followed around little girls his age shouting "HELLO!!"  After awhile of play, we made our way to the fountains and let him collect water in buckets.  Soaking wet, and tired from all the action, he hit the wall hard.

We made it home before a meltdown, quickly washed him, and cozied him up in a nice cool room to sleep.

Can there be a better life??
