Year 1, Day 132

As if emerging molars weren't painful enough, along with a cold, today Jackson is suffering from some pretty serious diaper rash. Sparing all details, the remedy as prescribed by the doctor follows:

Let him run around naked.
Follow that with Neosporin and diaper cream before bed.

You can only imagine that a boy without a diaper, running around at 16 months, is like having a puppy just weaned from the litter. I was waiting for the accident. He was fully engrossed in his game, when all of a sudden, like a sprinkler on a warm summer day, he let go. I was chasing him around cleaning up after his "shower". It was all done when I saw him squat. Time for a diaper!!

Between the molars and the diaper rash, and combating a typical cold, I wonder how this boy still finds reasons to smile. His little bottom is horrendously red, his nose is dripping green snot by the gallon, and his teeth are ripping through his gums. I'll remember that when I complain of a bad day.

Aww, what a poor little sprat! Makes us all appreciate a little bit more. :)

Sounds like he could use antibiotics for a bit to clear his sinuses, at least. And it will maybe help the diaper rash too. Hope it's better soon.
