Year 1, Day 225

On this 1 year and 225th day of Jackson's life, I just want to capture some of those moments in time.  Might we say,  a casual record of the things that he is doing for the first time, managing to say, and attempting to accomplish for good or for bad.

At this time in his life, Jackson can:
*repeat most words that someone says, but LOVES to substitue the words he can't say for TRUCK and CHOO CHOO.
*run, climb, and jump from morning to night
*find everything possible to hit his head against . . . while running of course.
*use utensils and an open cup, and manage to get most in his mouth.
*identify things in books that he knows - mostly farm animals and trucks.
*knows the hand motions to many songs, and sings small parts of the tune, without the words.
*helps putting on his clothes, shoes, and socks.
*climbs stairs with no hands on a rail, and makes his way down with a bit of help.

He is working on:
*using "gentle hands" with friends at school. (AKA - not smacking his friends upside the head)
*learning that the kitty's tail is attached to his body, and is not actually a toy.
*using an "inside voice", especially in the car when we are 1 foot away from him screaming TRUCK and CHOO CHOO.
*knowing when he might need a diaper change
*being patient.
