To make an elderly person angry, spread dandelion seeds in his yard and wait for them to grow. To make a one year old ecstaticly happy, hand him a dandelion. On our walk today, we passed by a million dandelions and I didn't think twice about them. I see them as weeds, and a nuisance for people lucky enough to have a yard. That's because I am not a child.
What better flower than one that grows at will, spreads like wildfire, and bursts open into a beautiful yellow like the sun. They are also pretty hearty, as I found out. Jackson's curious little fingers don't quite know delicate touches when he gets excited about something he's holding. But, dandelions hold up well. And, they transform into feathery white blossoms that you can make a wish upon??? And, wish for anything in the whole wide world?! Maybe it's just me, but isn't it quite obvious that children are right in the case of the dandelion? A flower that is beautiful, abundant, and grants wishes? You can't ask for anything more.

Maybe people should just forget about their lawns and let God's dandelions take over.
