Year 1, Day 275

"There will be many bumps and bruises along the way."  Having an extremely active boy, whose brain works faster than his feet, I know that all too well.  Every weekend that we travel to Grammie's and Nana's house, Jackson sports a new badge of courage from his exploits.  His head, the main magnet for injury, has taken the brunt for nearly all mishaps. Until yesterday.

In a cover-up attempt, Mike and I decided to keep some information from our immediate family, because, let's face it, they tend to overreact (with good intention) when Jackson has any type of "accident" which results in a mark on his body.  But, in an effort to stay true to my blog, and keep an accurate description of daily occurrences in his life, Jackson was "scraped" by a child's tooth yesterday on the arm.

So the bite wasn't nearly as bad as I had imagined. No broken skin, just teeth impressions and an awfully sore arm.  A "friend" was peeved over the fact that Jackson invaded his personal space, so he took a chomp at him.  Being a former preschool teacher, I am not at all surprised by the occurrence (it happens VERY often in this age group where toddlers don't have adequate words/communication), but when it's YOUR baby, it's heartbreaking. It's like someone bit you . . .

Awww! Poor monkey. Let's hope he doesn't pick up that habit, now that his "friend" showed him how to do it.
