Year 1, Day 57

Top Ten reasons why you are so damn cute, you make me weep:

1. Since birth, the way you insist on carrying objects at all times - one in each hand. It is probably inherited from an unnamed relative's necessity to make things "even". Perhaps a smidge of obsessive compulsive tendency?? But, darn cute, none the less.

2. The way your arms flail around frantically when you get close to the kitty, because you want to pet him so bad, and your afraid he'll run away if you get too close. But you do all you can to hold the excitement back, and then slowly stroke the kitty on his tummy with a great gentleness that is just so precious.

3. The way you point to the inside of your palm when you want more food. But now, the fact that you make that same gesture after your dad and I have completed a dreadful version of Miss Mary Mack, and you actually want "more".

4. The way you sleep with your butt in the air, even though it makes you pee all over yourself during the night. I'd change a thousand diapers and replace a million wet sheets to see you comfy and sleeping like an angel, so bottoms up!

5. The way you dip your face in the bath water, for a split second holding your breath, and then emerge in full belly laughs and giggles.

6. The way you are a magnet for piles of clothing that have been freshly washed and ready to put away. You love clean laundry, and spend countless moments falling into the heap again and again.

7. The way you say hello and goodbye to everyone, regardless of their reciprocation. The way in which you are so open and loving to everyone you meet.

8. The way you hand Daddy your bottle after you finish it in the morning, and how cute it is when you tickle him to get him out of bed, starting the day.

9. The way you would rather walk around with a diaper and nothing on your feet at all times. Who cares about clothing anyway? Although, there is no denying that you look damn cute in your button down shirts - miniature versions of everything hanging in your daddy's closet.

10. The way you make it so easy to compile this list, because you light up my life without saying a word or doing a thing.
