"YES!!" I never thought I'd be so happy to hear such a simple and commonly used word in the English language. For some many months, "NO" has been jackson's answer to everything - even if he meant "yes". Today, he responded in the affirmative with an intentional head nod to boot. This is a huge step for us.
Of course, on the way to nap a few moments ago, he was saying "NO NO NO" and fully meaning it. I wonder when kids get old enough to appreciate the nap again. My husband has taught me the art of napping. While I don't practice it often, today seems like a good day to curl up under the covers and listen to the rain . . .
